This was our marketing manager’s first ever cannabis grow! With the help of the Grow Manual, her first harvest was a massive success, yielding 3.8 OZ of organic, quality cannabis. Not too shabby for someone with zero experience. Check out her journey, below.
Here we can see the first seedling breaking ground. The first set of leaves are known as “cotelydons” and are smooth instead of serrated.
One becomes many! A successful round of propagation using Stealth Box’s seedling dome. Time to pick the best 4 and pot them up!
This is right after the girls were transplanted from the dome into their cloth pots - their new permanent home!
At this stage, most of the work is happening beneath the soil. The plants must form a strong root network to grow upwards!
The girls are well on their way here!
This is a training method called “topping” where you remove the top of your plants.
What is left behind will push growth through multiple main tops, or ‘colas’, instead of just one. Colas are where most of your bud will form, at the top of your plant.
After recovering from being topped, here you can see two main growth tips in place of one.
These plants are looking bushy, time for some light stress training!
In “light stress training”, the main branches are tied to the edges of the cloth pot. This allows more light to the interior canopy.
A view from above as the plants’ morphology changes throughout flower.
The white hair-like structures seen here are called ‘pistils’ and indicate that this plant is female. Only female plants produce buds.
The net you see here is another training method, called a SCROG net. The branches were bent sideways to even out the canopy and maximize light to the bud sites.
These buds are getting nice and chunky!
About 2 weeks before harvest we can see crystals covering the buds and leaves.
